SP member Swami Omvesh said in the assembly on Wednesday that people of my party do not let me speak. Actually, he was asking the government a question to end the rule of cutting old packing of sugarcane farmers. When he could not complete his question for a long time, the Speaker switched off his mike. This made him angry. The Leader of the Opposition also had to convince him, but he was adamant to complete his point. On this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna had to say that this system is not right. However, during this time the entire house echoed with laughter and Swami Omvesh kept speaking continuously.
When SP members started registering their protest in the House when the officials did not provide protocol to the public representatives, the ruling party also came under fire. The Assembly Speaker had to say that we listen to you all day long. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that I welcome the protest because Tulsidas has said that “Nindak neere rakhiye, aangan kuti samaay”.
I don’t know which disease to tell
Congress party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona raised the issue of conducting health check-up of all the members of the House once a year and said that after BSP member Umashankar Singh’s ill health, it should be mandatory for all members to undergo health check-up. On this, a SP member said that we don’t know what disease the government will come up with. We don’t want to undergo any test.
